Hi,

Just updated software and Cruise Overspeed has gone but now it has a heading of motorway mode which is fixed at 55mph!!

If this is correct, how do I increase the speed to 70 as the camera does not have the function to change it!!

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

I've just contacted the manufacturer about this latest update.
Apparently there were quite a few customers accidentally switching on the overspeed warning (mistaking it for the speed detection option) and constantly getting alerts everytime they exceeded 30 / 40/ 50 etc, so this was removed.

The new 'Motorway Mode' can either be On (55mph) or off.  When ON (55mph) this turns off alerts for cameras/locations which are under 50mph WHEN you are travelling over 55mph.  This is to minimise alerts from adjacent side-roads and over head passes whilst driving along a motorway at 60 -70mph.
So it would take on the assumption you are not absolutely pelting it along a 30mph road at 55mph+ as this would be the only exposure you would then have to not being alerted to a lower speed camera when in this mode.
Alternatively you can switch it off and the unit will operate as normal, but perhaps with some 'false alerts' from adjacent roads or overhead passes whilst on a motorway...

Phew.. hope this makes sense?

Kind regards,

Thanks for that but I was using it for when I drive to work which is a 50mph road.
